A lifelong architect and journalist, I am curious by nature. I always try to understand and delve into things, even when unnecessary. I do it because I enjoy it and because I am still a student deep down in my soul.

They say that we all have at least one talent, so I began to wonder what mine is. I don’t know if I have particular talents, but I actually found one. Thanks to the fact that I have been attending Milan Design Week from the very beginning, I am very passionate and expert in all the design events in the world. And I know them, in general, very well

Professional Profile

I have 30 years of experience as a furniture, interior design and industrial design journalist. I’m a writer and editor, so I can lead a print publication through to print. I have collaborated with many Italian and international print magazines, including Interni, Elle Decor Italia, Architektur und Wohnen, Casa Vogue Italia, Casa Vogue Living. From the 2000s onward, I also work on the web as a content creator on the same topics. Since 2015, I have specialized in SEO writing. I have also collaborated for several years with Interni Magazine online, Designdiffusion.com, Nobleandstyle.com.

Since 2012, I have also created content for social media.
I have worked with all the major magazines in the world in the design field.
I have also collaborated with several sites, among the most highly rated in design worldwide.

Since the 1990s, I have visited many design trade shows and events worldwide, in Europe, the United States, Brazil, and Asia (Malaysia, Singapore, China); about 20/30 every year.
Design events are extremely interesting, as they allow us to see the evolution of the industry sector. They also offer opportunities to meet a lot of interesting people.

In addition to visiting events, I am also a keynote speaker on design and related industry topics, and I have been on the judging panel at many trade shows to award both products and booths.

I have been on the jury of ICFF, MIFF, IFFS (International Furniture Fair Singapore), Furniture Leadership Awards, Grand Prix du Design and others. I have given speeches on topics related to the furniture industry and design events, at international trade fairs such as MIFF and CIFF Shanghai.
I have lectured and continue to lecture on all topics related to design events, such as design weeks and trade shows, at international fairs and design schools.

2021

History of Milan Design Week

Between 2020 and 2021, taking advantage of Covid lockdown, I wrote the first book on the History of Milan Design Week

2014-2017

PDP – Professional Designer Program

Between 2013 and 2017, I initiated the PDP – Professional Designers Program, a government initiative that aimed to elevate the Malaysian furniture industry. In partnership with MFPC (Malaysian Furniture Promotion Council) and MTIB (Malaysian Timber Industry Board), we conducted a three-year program that involved 15 designers, both Malaysian and international, and 12 local companies. This international collaboration resulted in the creation of over 20 new furniture products, all of which emphasized the use of sustainable materials and the exploration of new production processes.
